About AMSIB
Located in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, AMSIB is the largest school of international business in The Netherlands, and the first programme at a Dutch University of Applied Sciences to obtain the international EFMD Programme accreditation. AMSIB is part of the Dutch spoken Faculty of Business & Economics (FBE), one of the biggest Faculties of the AUAS (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) , and is located at the Business Campus in Amsterdam Southeast near the Bijlmer Arena station. DEAN
AMSIB is seeking an experienced leader to guide the school through the 2020s and into the 2030s. You embody and share the values of AMSIB. We are ambitious and globally oriented, embracing the diversity of cultures and perspectives and empowering our students with knowledge and skills to navigate an increasingly complex business environment. You are able to lead the school in the execution of AMSIB's strategic vision and accomplish its ambitions in the fields of positioning the International Business School; innovative programming; impactful research; community engagement; appropriate and effective resources & operations. The preservation and realization of the accreditations from the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD) and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) are of eminent importance.
You lead the AMSIB management team and leadership council and report to the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics. You are also a member of the Faculty management team.
Your knowledge and experience
- You have extensive experience with responsible, international business and management. Preferably a combination of working experience in business and in higher education.
- You have a track record of strategic leadership and you know how to balance strategic objectives with diverse internal and external stakeholder interests.
- You preferably have a PhD in the field of international business, sustainable development, or higher education management.
- You are familiar with (Dutch) higher education system(s).
- You have knowledge about accreditation processes.
- You are fluent in English and preferably have a working knowledge of Dutch.

Working conditions
- A gross yearly salary up to a maximum of € 109.000, including an end-of-year and holiday allowance.
- A permanent contract, depending on performance, starting with a one year contract
- 53 vacation days per year with a 40-hour working week.
